That's a great question! CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA is a way to support the farm at the beginning of the season guaranteeing the farmer has the market for what they grow. Consider it a partnership, a delicious partnership. You prepay for your share, either small or large and every week you get a selection of fresh produce grown locally and with love. This is a great model that benefits all involved and is important for those who want to know where their food is coming from. The Gnar Garden CSA runs for 22 weeks beginning in late May and ending in October. Pick up is at The Seed Farm on Friday evenings between 5 and 7pm or Siren Records on Sunday mornings between 10 and 12pm for our Bucks & beyond friends. Alternate pick-up locations and delivery options available if needed.
Each week you will get a selection of the freshest produce grown right here at The Gnar Garden. Small shares are appropriate for one or two people and will consist of 4-8 items while large is better suited for a family (or a vegan household like ours) and will consist of 6-10 items. We will have your favorite items as well as some unique varities you might not yet be familiar with. Each week you will receive the CSA email newsletter with recipes and suggestions on how to use the items in that week's share.
